Police gathered at the funeral of murdered New York Police Department Officer Miosotis Familia on Tuesday, and they weren’t happy to see Mayor Bill de Blasio.

The mayor angered many in the city, including law enforcement, when he chose to go to Germany to protest President Donald Trump at the G20 summit last week, the day after Officer Familia was assassinated.

Among them was Sergeants Benevolent Association president Ed Mullins who told the mayor if he wanted to see a protest he didn’t have to fly to Germany.

“Mr. Mayor, you didn’t have to travel to Germany for a protest, all you had to do is speak in front of the men and women of the NYPD,” he said.

And when Mayor DeBlasio delivered the eulogy for Officer Familia, many of the officer in attendance turned their backs on him.

The scene was reminiscent of officers doing the same thing to him at the funeral of another assassinated officer in January 2015.

The crowd was much happier to see NYPD Commissioner James O’Neill, who gave a moving eulogy for the fallen officer.

“Some people say, ‘That’s their job. That’s what cops signed up for,’” he told the crowd. “Well, let me tell you something. Not one of us ever agreed to be murdered in an act of indefensible hate.

“And not one of us signed up to never return home to our loved ones.”

He took a swipe at anti-police protesters, like comedian George Lopez who believes America would be safer if police were deported.

“Where are the demonstrations for this single mom who cared for her elderly mother and her own 3 children? There is anger and sorrow but why is there no outrage?” he asked.
