Restaurant Chain Just Ordered Vets To Remove Their Flags And Leave, Will You Boycott Them?

Thankfully, many restaurant chains and other eating establishments honor our country’s military veterans by offering them discounts and even free meals on certain days, as a token of gratitude for their service.

However, the restaurant and entertainment chain Dave & Buster’s clearly does not share our same values and reverence for our military heroes. At their location in Grandville, Michigan, Dave & Buster’s recently ordered veterans Adrienne Brown and Victor Murdock of American Legion Riders Post 179 to take off their vests or leave the premises.

The veterans’ vests showed the Prisoner of War Flag, the American flag and a bald eagle. However, Dave & Buster’s management unthinkably stated that the vests had gang insignias on them.

Commented a representative of Dave & Buster’s in a statement, “The group was asked to remove the jackets or turn them inside out because the business’ dress code prohibits evidence of gang affiliation. Spokeswoman April Spearman said the policy was in place ‘to ensure that everyone is able to enjoy themselves in a fun and safe environment.”

The American Legion was established in 1919 and has been dedicated to improving the quality of militray veterans’ lives. It is an outrage that Dave & Buster’s would treat these veterans like gang members. Conservative groups have been calling for a boycott of Dave & Buster’s. Do you agree?
