Much to the chagrin of freedom-haters and black activists, Florida has a “Stand You Ground” law that allows people to defend themselves against violent attackers. The State Legislature recently updated the law to extend the rights of people in self-defense cases. A Judge (no doubt a liberal one) just ruled that self-defense is unconstitutional and that state lawmakers have no right to make laws. If I were a betting man, I’d put everything on this judge being an Obama appointee.

The Miami Herald reports that Florida recently updated its SYG law to force prosecutors to disprove a defendant’s self-defense claim in a pre-trail hearing. Basically the law puts the burden on the state in self-defense cases or in other words, defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. You wouldn’t think this would be a controversial law, but apparently it is.

Florida’s updated “Stand Your Ground” self-defense law is unconstitutional, a Miami judge ruled on Monday.

Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Milton Hirsch ruled that lawmakers overstepped their authority in modifying the law this year to force prosecutors to disprove a defendant’s self-defense claim at a pre-trial hearing.

The judge ruled that under Florida’s constitution, that change should have been crafted by the Florida Supreme Court, not the Legislature.

“As a matter of constitutional separation of powers, that procedure cannot be legislatively modified,” wrote Hirsch in the ruling.

Let’s see if I have this straight: the Florida State Legislature has no right to create and pass laws? I am by no means an expert on the Florida State Constitution, but this sounds like a huge load of liberal bullshit.

No, seriously? If it isn’t lawmakers job to make laws, whose job is it? Also, why in the hell are they called lawmakers of they aren’t allowed under the constitution to make laws?

I suspect this has less to do with parliamentary procedure and more to do with guns and self-defense. Liberals don’t think people should be able to defend themselves and that only cops should be allowed to have guns. Actually, they think criminals should have guns too because they support laws that disarm good people while leaving the bad guys strapped.

My guess is that this judge did some creative interpretation of the law to strike down another law that offended his liberal sensibilities. This is how activist judges operate. They completely ignore the law as written and make rulings based on feelings that help shape the liberal hell they want to live in. In reality, this judge is making laws from the bench, which actually is a violation of the separation of powers.

Surprise surprise, the Miami Herald reports that Judge Hirsch has ruled that Miami’s plan to drop its “Sanctuary City” status was unconstitutional, that the death penalty was unconstitutional, and that police can’t use fingerprints found at a crime scene as evidence. Again, this guy has an Obama-level understanding of the Constitution, which is why I feel like the former president is who put this clown on the bench.

Why is it that liberals think criminals have a right to commit crimes, but everyone else has no right to defend themselves? The easy answer is because liberals are shitty people, but there must be something more to this. Maybe they hate themselves so they want everyone else to be miserable like them. Whatever the case, once again liberals have proven that they should have no authority because they can’t be responsible with it.
